Intelligence will always lead people to have conversations that are seemingly illogical. Haha.
After a fulfilling dinner at a not so popular spot near Lasalle and after lighting our cigarette, my best friend and I had this conversation regarding her newly developed theory about love. I have to say that this is the craziest one so far. According to her all of us (yes.. including me) will meet that one person that we will truly love. We will spend a lot of time with that person, We'll do almost everything for that person but at the end all efforts will be in vain because we will not end up with that same individual. As time passes we'll meet other people, pretend that it's real love that we feel for them, love like how we see it in movies. But the reality is that all people that will come into our lives, they're all going to be the convenience. My friend was so decided on her theory that she even coined differet terms. Anyway, it was very confusing at first but as she explained it, I learned that according to her so called theory people will always meet their true love but they will always end up with their convenience, a person that you'll love because he/she was the one present at the moment of need or the person that you'll choose to settle with because the person of real interest is never going to be available. Our conversation made me think a lot. Could it be possible? Could my best friend be right? Am I going to marry someone out of convenience?
I told you it was crazy. So much for happy endings.
But either way, I told my best friend that she should just sit and watch because I'm going to prove to her that she's all wrong. Me and my big mouth again.
Kailangan mo na at that moment.
Tara: Ibang analogy na lang. Hindi ako mananalo sa example na to.

Convenience store at mall tlga noh! anyway, i can atest to that convenience-thingy reasoning. I used that before when i broke up with my bf in HS. I told him that Mark will be more convenient for me. Same school, same level of wavelengths, big help for my studies.. that's my convenience reasoning that time. But hey, u obviously know that he became a true love just as i thought. Haha but another love lost.
That theory has a loophole i think, and this is it.. TRUE LOVE IS AN IDEAL. HOW U LOVE ONE PERSON CUD NEVER BE THE SAME AS TO THE NEXT, AND THE NEXT. LOVE CAN NEVER BE THE SAME. IT HAS ITS OWN IDENTITY. U CAN'T COMPARE THAT U LOVE THIS PERSON MORE BEFORE THAN THE ONE YOU ARE LOVING RYT NOW. IF YOU DO THAT THEN IT MEANS THAT YOU HAVEN'T FOUND THE ANSWER FOR TRUE LOVE, COZ ONCE U LOVE.. ITS ALWAYS TRUE AND SHOULD ALWAYS BE TRUE.
If u get a guy for convenience, ok the reason is convenience.. but i tell you, after a while, you'll discover that u also have a hidden reason somewhere.. and that is love. Love doesn't bloom in a blink of an eye.. but it's for you to share..
lolz mainarte ka! sa mall tyo! LABELS OF LOVE LNG KATAPAT NIAN!
kailangan na kailangan? anu bang binibili ninyo? diatabs ba 'to?
tampoons! lol..
tampons? whore! haha. biro lang. hmm. well, i thought it was a good theory, until i read 'As time passes...' I misread the theory, because bestfriend had a very good point there, you do not end up with the same individual. I mean the same person you met the first time and grew with will not be the same one at the end of your time together, pwera na lang kung android pala yun kasama mo na nakaprogram na kung ano siya at kung magiging ano pa siya. I thought it's wise to emphasize that. One of the greatest injustice you can do to another person (and it often happens within romantic relationships) is to expect them to remain to be what you think they are, which may be after all a misconception. Oftentimes, changes are often welcomed when they prove to be favorable to us and not to the person who is changing. But anyway, back to what we're supposed to talk about. Annishi got a point, we may enter into relations with the most shallow of reasons (logical and illogical), but the essential thing about it is to not let the relationship remain there, in a practical level, that it's just something you can benefit from (financially and emotionally), but to actually elevate it to a level where the person is not just "one among the many others", he's not just the sum of the qualities that you can see, good or bad, pero siya ay siya, hindi dahil weirdo siya at out of this world, pero siya yun nakilala mo, naging parti ng buhay mo (in the very essence of the word "parti", hindi lang physical presence), yun nakakita na sa pinakamaganda at pinakapangit mong hitsura at ugali, at ang taong hindi mo lang puwedeng ikulong sa isang salita lang na 'guwapo', 'matulungin' o 'matalino'. People will always transcend your conception of them and the words you use to express that conception.
(to be continued..haha)
if it doesn't elevate to that level it maybe through your own unwillingness or you've just failed to notice that it did. there may be 'loves' that are passionate, that refuses to die, but it doesn't mean that it is true. true love doesn't reside within a person, it is not a person. 'siya ang true love ko!' is a myth disseminated but an author who knows that people are addicted to ideas and ideals, as supernatural as tikbalangs and tiyanaks. Even if you try to think of the most perfect world you can imagine, can you live in it?
True love? There's no need to say it's true, because if it's love then it is true, as annishi already said. Just never be too quick to say that it is. The sharpest arguments and the most stlyized verses have no value, unless you have done something that may not prove "how true" love is but show that it is there.
Even if you try to think of the most perfect world you can imagine, can you live in it?
eh pano kung oo? pano kung I can live in it? What are you gonna do about it? hahaha..
e...........
basta you can't.
haha.
the ideal only becomes problematic if you can't see reality anymore. but it becomes a positive image, if you first acknowledge reality and then drive it to what you think it should be. the ideal can never be reached, but the road to it leads to differences you can't underestimate.
Magkocomment sana ako tara eh...
Kaso, mukhang binugbog ka na ng mga katrabaho sa reasoning nila.
Well, anyway i agree with them. Un lang...
First, i agree with ann, true love is really an ideal... once you love, it will always be true and should always be true (at least to the person who's in love). Second, i agree with trabahador(si levi ata un =p). Love begins at the shallowest of reasons that shuold be elevated to another level. Otherwise, you'll be trapped into the misconception that convenience provided equates to LOVE provided...
Teka, I'd rather wait for the mall to open. Mas practical at mas maraming choices. Sa convenience store, once na wala ung dapat mong bilhin, you'd be settling in buying the second best (or the third best, etc). My point is variance is the most prerequisite for choice. Without variance, you'd be settling to something (in the case of love, someone) who is second-rated, a sure-problem in the long run.
sa lahat ng sinabi mo Mark..oo I agree..na nabugbog na nga ko sa mga kasama ko d2..lol..
kainis! ako ang naging controversial sa issue na toh! hahaha! well.. i don't give a damn!
Only two people can react violently to my comment.. and that is my HS ex-bf and Mark.. as for others... SHUT UP! hahaha
